The Business Development Office role is to encourage and foster economic expansion within the community. By facilitating a strong economy and thriving business community, the goal is to create employment opportunities for Squamish.

Working closely with everyone in Squamish, as well as locally based business organizations like the Squamish Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Squamish, the Business Development office keeps a finger on the business pulse of the area.

Housed in the award winning Squamish Adventure Centre just off the Sea-to-Sky Highway, the Business Development Office brings people, ideas, and money together to ignite further economic development and to expand the overall community reach and diversification.

Current efforts are focusing on the revitalization of the Downtown, redevelopment of the community’s Oceanfront, and the development of the Business Park.
