Howe Sound Inn and Brewing Co.

Howe Sound Inn & Brewing Company needs little introduction among Squamish residents. A hotel, restaurant, catering service, pub and brewery located at 'lands end' of Cleveland Avenue in downtown Squamish plays host to hordes of hungry and thirst Squamish locals and visitors alike.

But not to be complacent with their success, owner Leslie Fenn recently launched a creative new product to attract new PR, new customers and have some fun with tongue-in-cheek humour. Hence the creation of Bailout Bitter - Bitter Beer for Bitter Times.

Howe Sound's nominator sites the Bailout Bitter campaign as just one example of their innovation and comittment to business development, writing...

"Recognizing an opportunity to capitalize on what would seem to be a negative sales opportunity with the global recession, Leslie and her team decided to take a lemon and make lemonade by conceptualizing a new beer and marketing it in an attractive eye catching manner.

Employing a local design company and with limited marketing dollars, Leslie developed a marketing plan that saw global recognizition not only for her beer and the Brewery but also for the town of Squamish."

If you haven't been to the pub yet, the Bailout Bitter might just be your reason.

In 30 Words Or Less:
"Bailour Bitter is an example of hard work and great ideas implemented with perfect timing. An excellent Bitter that helped not only put Howe Sound Inn on the map but the entire town of Squamish!"

What they're saying...
