Squamish Tourism Investment Attraction Strategy
The District of Squamish already has a significant tourism industry because of its strategic location on the Sea To Sky Highway halfway between Vancouver and Whistler.
Many visitors to Whistler stop at least briefly in Squamish for fuel and other services, with a small percentage taking in other tourism attractions and features offered in the Squamish area. Squamish is also a popular day trip for outdoor recreation enthusiasts based in the Greater Vancouver Area.
